Proposed Residential

The residential element of the scheme is proposed to be sited in response to St Joseph’s Church, the Retreat and the new Religious House.

The design approach builds on the aspirations outlined earlier on these presentation boards, seeking to create a series of small building elements which follow the line and form of the land, creating views between and over the development, towards the Church and the dome beyond.

It is proposed that the residential element of the scheme will comprise a series of apartments for both affordable and private occupancy.

Vehicular access will be served from Dartmouth Park Hill as currently exists, with parking allocated in small parking areas dotted around the site.

The building form and choice of materials will respectfully reflect the setting of the site and recognise the importance of maintaining the Church as the single landmark feature.
