Parking, traffic & sustainability

It is recognised that the proposal settles within a highly sustainable location with good access to transport and local facilities in the form of employment, retail and leisure.

The scheme will provide an element of parking associated with the various elements of the scheme. The design approach will be developed in accordance with the Local Authority’s current policy standards on the provision of parking spaces.

Our aspiration is for a development which encourages the use of sustainable transport. To that end, we will be looking to provide a number of cycling spaces. We will also encourage our residents to make full use of the excellent range of Underground, Over ground and bus facilities on offer locally.

We will consider a raft of sustainable initiatives on the site to both reduce energy consumption and to utilise renewable energy. Whilst recognising the importance of renewable energy on the site, the need to ensure that any proposal maintains the overall design aspirations of building in the grounds of an important landmark feature will be respected.

Our proposals are for a site which is significantly more sustainable than is currently the case.
